The Mall of Georgia is partnering with a metro Atlanta cornhole league to bring the bean bag game to Buford.

The mall is starting a fall cornhole league with CornholeATL, which operates leagues in 15 locations, from East Atlanta to Woodstock. The new Buford league will compete at the Village at the Mall of Georgia, the shopping center's central green space where outdoor movies, concerts and other festivities are regularly held.

The Buford league runs from Sept. 6 to Oct. 25, and all games will be held on Thursdays at either 6:45 p.m., 7:30 p.m. or 8:15 p.m. If enough teams register, there will be beginner, intermediate and advanced groups within the league, but there must be at least six teams per division.

Players must register individually, and it costs between $45 and $55 per player for the season. Registered players can then form teams through CornholeATL’s website. Players must be 21 by Sept. 4.
