The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta is expanding its "Create a Jewish Legacy" initiative.
The program helps Jewish organizations throughout the community secure bequests and planned gifts to benefit the Jewish community.
The expansion - Cohort II- provides an additional 15 partner organizations, including synagogues, day schools and community groups, with the resources to reach potential donors.
The participating partners receive training, consulting, coaching and marketing materials through a two-year series of seminars.
The federation does not raise money for the organizations.
The Cohort II 2010-2012 partner organizations for Create a Jewish Legacy are: Camp Judaea, Congregation B’nai Torah, Congregation Etz Chaim, Congregation Kol Emeth, Hillels of Georgia, Katherine & Jacob Greenfield Hebrew Academy, Temima- The Richard & Jean Katz High School for Girls, Temple Emanu-El, The Alfred & Adele Davis Academy, The Amit Program, The Doris & Alex Weber Jewish Community High School, The Epstein School, URJ Camp Coleman, Yeshiva Atlanta High School and Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael of Atlanta.
