No one was injured Monday night when a fire broke out at a Cobb County assisted living facility.

The two-alarm blaze started around 11 p.m. Monday in the single-story, ranch-style home on Vonda Lane off Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton.

Cassandra Freeman, owner of the St. Benedict Personal Care Home, told AM750 and 95.5FM News/Talk WSB that she smelled smoke and safely evacuated the home's four residents.

Those residents, ranging in age from 50 to 80, were placed with family members after the fire.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined, but Freeman told WSB that she believed it began as an electrical fire.
