DeKalb County police are looking for the gunman who shot at two men outside a Lawrenceville Highway Waffle House early Friday.

The incident happened just after 3 a.m. at the Waffle House in the 2900 block of Lawrenceville Highway.

Employees of the diner told investigators that two men got out of a white four-door vehicle and were walking toward the restaurant's entrance when a red two-door car made a U-turn on Lawrenceville Highway and someone in that car fired one gunshot at the men before the car got onto I-285 northbound.

The men were not hit, but the bullet struck and shattered a front window of the Waffle House.

The would-be victims left the scene before police arrived, also getting onto I-285 northbound.
