A man allegedly stole a LGBTQ Pride flag hanging at a northwest Atlanta home Sunday, and neighbors say similar thefts have taken place in the neighborhood.

Surveillance video appears to show a man walk up a driveway, take the flag down and leave with it. Homeowner Justin Bond called Atlanta police to report the incident, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Bond then learned from his neighborhood's Facebook page that others may have also had their Pride flags taken.

Neighbor Wandie Bethune said the theft was likely deliberate because “at least three people posted that it happened to them," the television station reported. Bethune said she bought a Pride flag and will hang it to show her support.

Despite the alleged vandalism, Bond told Channel 2 that the support and solidarity shown in the Facebook group conversations has been heartening.
