Lawrenceville is currently served by three local bus routes that travel the county and one express bus route that brings commuters to and from downtown Atlanta. If voters approve a referendum to bring MARTA into Gwinnett County, Lawrenceville residents’ transit options will greatly increase.
The city will have access to bus rapid transit, rapid bus routes, local buses and express and direct connect commuter buses under the county’s plan, contingent on the referendum. The plan also includes programs to subsidize Uber and Lyft rides to transit stations, paratransit for those with disabilities and new park-and-rides and transit stations.
