Henry County public schools recently received the first-ever Georgia Milestones scores from the state’s new comprehensive testing system.

The newest test results are the latest achievement measurement after the state switched from the former Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests for elementary and middle school students, and End of Course Tests for high school students.

Elementary students (grades 3-5) outperformed their peers across the state in all measured areas except for third-grade and fifth-grade math. In middle school, sixth- and eighth-grade students outperformed the state averages in English Language Arts, while seventh-grade students outperformed the state averages in all subjects except for science. High school students were able to outperform state averages in two subjects – Analytic Geometry and American Literature and Composition. School specific scores can be found on individual school websites. Information: www.henry.k12.ga.us.
