Henry County storm drain replacement, waste removal contract approved
The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Dec. 17 regular meeting to approve a $91,846.50 bid award by AM Construction for repair and replacement of a storm drain in the Steeplechase subdivision.
Also approved was a contract with Waste Pro of Doraville for solid waste removal and disposal services for various county locations. The board reviewed but took no action on an annexation notification from Locust Grove regarding 48 acres located at 342 Davis Lake Road, on the east side of that road and across from Colvin Drive.
The city proposes to annex the two subject properties with its current RA zoning. Planning and Zoning staff’s opinion is that it would not create a significant change in the surrounding land uses and the future land use designation for the property.
