The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Sept. 6 to approve a $117,417,47 expenditure for replacement of the air conditioning system in the E911 center.

Officials said the current system in the facility’s server room lacked capacity to maintain a temperature to ensure the proper functioning of the computers and communications equipment. A power failure or surge would cause the old system to shut down and create high-temperature alarms. An evaluation by the county’s building maintenance staff recommended replacement of the system.
