Turning Point Church in Henry County didn't need to ask what WWJD.

With gas prices approaching $4 a gallon, it was pretty obvious -  help pay at the pump.

On Tuesday, the church bought $2,000 worth of gas and is lowering the price per gallon for motorists -- until the money ran out. Or, according to a clerk who answered the phone,  until 7:30 p.m.

Tanya Windham, a member of the church's worship team, said more people were lining up for the discounted gas at the Chevron station at 898 Highway 81 East in McDonough. Windham said the buy down meant gas was cheaper by about 40 cents.

At the same time, though church members washed windshields and invited motorists to an Easter Eggstravaganza event  at 10 a.m. Saturday at Henry County High School, 401 Tomlinson St.  and  Easter services  on Sunday at the church, which is located at 831 Pavilion Court.
