If you want to apply for a business license, a building permit or related documents in Lilburn today, hold your horses.
Lilburn's administrative offices have been closed since yesterday at noon, and won't reopen until Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

The closure — which doesn't affect utility-related business — is happening in order to "transition equipment and technology to the new City Hall," according to the city's Facebook page.

Another thing happening today will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. It will include tours of the 24,000 square-foot government building located at 340 Main St.

The old building will continue to house the police department, which gets to expand.
