A trial is scheduled to begin in Gwinnett County next week for James Clifton Tillery, a Norcross therapist accused of having sex with a female patient in 2008.

Tillery is charged with sexual assault against a person in custody. He was arrested July 14, 2008 after a female patient claimed that he used his influence over her to initiate sex during therapy sessions over a period of a year and a half. He was released from the Gwinnett jail four days later on $55,200 bond. The trial is set to begin with jury selection on Monday in Superior Court Judge Melodie Snell Conner's courtroom.
