Gwinnett property tax deadline Monday
Gwinnett County residents have until Monday to make the final payment on their 2010 property tax bills.
Taxpayers can pay their taxes several ways:
*By credit card or e-check at www.gwinnetttaxcommissioner.com. Convenience fees apply for credit card transactions over the internet. Paying online by check is free.
*By mail at Department of Property Tax, P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
*In person with cash, check or money order at all tax commissioner offices, including the five motor vehicle tag offices. Credit cards are not accepted over the counter for payment of property taxes at any tax commissioner office.
*By check using drop-off boxes accessible 24 hours a day at all tax commissioner offices.
*By telephone at 770-822-8800.
All tax payments must be received or postmarked by Nov. 15. If not paid in full by that date, a penalty of 5 percent of any unpaid amount will be added to the bill. Beginning Nov. 16 interest will begin to accrue at the rate of 1 percent per month.
