Gwinnett County government offices will stay open Tuesday despite a threat of snow and ice, spokesman Joe Sorenson said.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz forecasted that areas northwest of Atlanta could get a few inches of snow, with up to four inches in the mountains, but areas in the city and east, including Gwinnett, are likely to get just a dusting.

The county will operate as usual Tuesday with one exception. Trials and judicial hearings have been canceled, Sorenson said.

The county’s school district is keeping students home, but they’re not totally off the hook. They will still have tasks to complete online, as Gwinnett County Public Schools deemed Tuesday a digital learning day.
