All Gwinnett government offices, with the exception of those “required for the comfort and safety of residents,” will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 for the Christmas holiday. County offices will resume normal business hours on Dec. 26. A magistrate court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.

Trash and recycling collection in unincorporated Gwinnett will be delayed by one day starting Dec. 25 through Dec. 27. Collections made after the holiday will be one day later than normal. The Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management Call Center will be closed Dec. 24, but hauler call centers will be open. Find your hauler’s contact information at GCSolidWaste.com. Residents who live within city limits should contact their trash and recycling provider to find out if collection will be delayed due to the holiday.
