The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners this week approved plans to develop the Yellow River Post Office site on Five Forks Trickum Road near Lilburn.

Commissioners awarded a $455,132 contract to low-bidder Todd Smith Grading Inc. The firm will build a deceleration lane, parking, restrooms, signs and a trail system and landscape the area. The 5-acre site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
