Gubernatorial candidate addressing Georgia Gwinnett graduates

Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams will serve as Georgia Gwinnett College’s commencement speaker on Thursday.

Abrams, D-Atlantarecently filed paperwork to run for governor in 2018 and is the first woman to lead either party in the Georgia House of Representatives. She will address the 500 students graduating from Georgia Gwinnett College on Thursday morning.

The ceremony will also recognize three ROTC members who are being commissioned into the military upon graduation.

Graduates must check in at 7 a.m. The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on the Georgia Gwinnett College Library lawn.
