Grady Memorial Hospital was seeking the public’s help Tuesday reaching family members of an apparent assault victim in “extremely critical” condition after being brought to the hospital over the weekend.

Police said the man was dazed and confused when he was found Saturday morning in the 3200 block of Chamblee-Dunwoody Roady near Pearl Lane, according to Grady spokeswoman Denise Simpson. The address is a commercial area in Chamblee.

The man gave his name as Walter Fuentes, but he had no identification, and it was not known if the name is correct, Simpson said. He was brought by ambulance to the hospital shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.

The man is no longer talking, she said. Information about his injuries was not available.

The patient speaks Spanish, is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 176 pounds. He has dark hair and is thought to be in his early to mid 30s.

Anyone with information about the patient or his family is asked to contact Grady Social Services, 404-616-5331.
