UPDATE: The winning numbers are: 60, 39, 33, 4, 46 and the Powerball is 6.

ORIGINAL STORY: It's that time again, when the Powerball jackpot that's available via the Georgia Lottery grows to an amount that gets more than the usual amount of attention.

The jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing is $302 million, according to the lottery website. No one has won the big prize for 16 straight drawings.

The jackpot was last hit April 1, when someone in Arizona who remained anonymous cashed in to the tune of $60 million.

Never played Powerball? Here’s how: At a participating retailer, choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and a Powerball number from 1 to 26, or select Quik Pik, where the machine picks the numbers for you. Each play costs $2.

Also, you can increase your Powerball prize for $1 more per play per drawing. Mark the Power Play option.

Keep your budget for Powerball tickets in perspective, though. According to the lottery website, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot — which requires picking all five numbers plus the Powerball number — with a given pick are 1 in 292,201,338.

The drawing is at 10:59 p.m. on Channel 2 Action News. Powerball sales end an hour before that.
