A 2-year-old girl died Friday night after a mirror fell on her inside a Payless store, Clayton County officials confirmed.

Authorities were called to the store in the 7100 block of Ga. 85 about 8 p.m. and found the girl severely injured, Clayton County fire chief Laura Richardson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Riverdale police Lt. Nicole Rabel said the girl, identified by Channel 2 Action News as Ifrah Siddique, was with her family when a mirror fell on her.

“You wouldn’t really expect it. We are all in the state of shock," the girl’s cousin, Aqib Iftkhar, told Channel 2.

She was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, Richardson said.

“We want to make sure this doesn’t happen again for anybody,” Iftkar said. “We don’t want to see another kid get into this.”

No other details were released.
