Georgia Tech's College of Management received an anonymous $25 million donation, university officials announced Friday.

The gift was broken into two parts, with $20 million designated as a challenge grant to attract contributions from other donors to the business college's endowment. Officials use the endowment to pay for scholarships, fellowships for graduate students, special faculty positions and other priorities.

The remaining $5 million can be spent at the discretion of Steve Salbu, the college dean.

“We are in direct competition with the nation’s best business schools,” Salbu said in a statement. He added that the donation would help the college attract top students and world-class faculty.
