Georgia State starts new visiting scholars program

Jan 20, 2010Georgia State University announced Wednesday a visiting scholars program with Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey.
The program will provide Gazi University faculty with additional English language classes and pair them with Georgia State faculty.
Twenty-four people from Gazi University are scheduled to arrive at Georgia State Feb. 15 and receive training for about five months. Another group will arrive in July and stay through December.
Officials at both colleges said there are plans for future collaborations, including Gazi University hosting Georgia State professors, study abroad programs for students and developing a special business degree programs.
