Georgia Perimeter gets grant to improve graduation rates

Georgia Perimeter College received $1.4 million to improve retention and graduation rates among black male students. As part of the five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the college plans to improve student success in remedial math classes. That is the subject area where students tend to struggle the most. Georgia Perimeter officials said they redesigned the curriculum and will buy more laptops and other tools to help students.
