Maggie Katie Brown Kidd, Georgia’s oldest known resident, died Saturday at age 114.

Born and raised in Clayton County, Kidd was the youngest of 12 children. Throughout her 11 decades of life, she witnessed 20 U.S. presidencies, two world wars, the civil rights movement, the space race and the birth of the web.

She was the oldest known living resident in Georgia, the oldest known African American alive and the 10th oldest known human in the world. In March, the Georgia House of Representatives held a ceremony at the Capitol in her honor.

Kidd died just five months ahead of her 115th birthday on Dec. 8.

Her memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Stephens, 11 Alive reported Tuesday. There will also be a viewing held at Jones Funeral Chapel in Crawford on Friday.

Georgia State Sen. Valencia Seay took to Instagram to share a short tribute.
