A Georgia man drowned at a state park in the Florida panhandle Monday, police said.
According to WMBB news, Gulf County, Fla.'s news station, a 53-year-old Georgia man was swimming around noon Monday at St. Joseph State Park when he and two others got caught in a rip current.
All three individuals were pulled from the water by rescuers. The Georgia man was pronounced dead at Sacred Heart hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
The other two individuals were a 49-year-old, who was in critical condition Monday afternoon and the victim's son, a 21-year-old who was treated and released from the hospital.
The name of the Georgia man is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
