Georgia Gwinnett College, the state's newest public four-year institution, will hold a ceremony Wednesday to mark the completion of the school's first residence halls.

The dorms mark the Lawrenceville college's transition from a commuter campus to a residential one. The first phase will house about 1,030 students, according to information on the college's Web site.

The finished product shows just how far dorms have come since students' parents were in college. Each suite will house between two to 12 students. There will be one bathroom for every two students. Every living room will have a flat-screen LCD HDTV.

The college opened in 2006 with 120 students and currently enrolls about 3,000 students.
