Georgia Gwinnett College broke ground Wednesday on a new intercollegiate athletics complex on the Lawrenceville campus.

The project, which is projected to cost about $13.5 million, will be paid for through student fees. The center will include soccer, track, softball and baseball fields.

The college's intercollegiate athletics program is expected to kick off with tennis, soccer, baseball and softball.
