The world's largest aquarium plans to bring the ocean closer to home, starting this weekend.
The Georgia Aquarium has joined forces with Animal Planet star and wildlife biologist Jeff Corwin to launch a new half-hour television show that will premiere Saturday on more than 200 ABC affiliates. It will air on WSB-TV at 11 a.m. after ‘Good Morning America.'
"Ocean Mysteries with Jeff Corwin" features the Animal Planet host and a team of biologists, veterinarians and experts from the Atlanta-based aquarium.
Jeff’s passion and experience is a perfect match with that of the scientists, biologists, animal trainers and other experts at Georgia Aquarium, officials said in a statement.
The team will travel to Thailand, Mexico and beyond to swim with whale sharks and study dying coral reefs.
The shows' topics range from wildlife to health to pop culture.
