GDOT to start construction on new intersection in Sandy Springs
The Georgia Department of Transportation will temporarily close Wright Road on the south side of Abernathy Road Wednesday morning to allow construction of the new intersection.
The closure will start after 9 a.m. and is scheduled for about 45 days. The actual opening of the road is weather dependent, city officials said.
Officials said the north side of the intersection will remain open during the construction.
