GDOT plans I-75 lane closure for bridge repair in Cobb County

Another lane closure is scheduled to go into effect this weekend along Interstate 75 in northern Cobb County.

Weather permitting, contractors with the Georgia Department of Transportation will close one right lane on the northbound side of I-75 between the Chastain Road and Wade Green Road interchanges from 9 p.m. Friday, May 10 to 5 a.m. Monday, May 13.

The work is needed so crews can demolish concrete and rebuild bridge joints for the Steve Frey bridge deck rehabilitation project.

Georgia DOT added the lane closures will also ensure crews as well as motorists remain safe as they work in and drive through the area.
