The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety evacuated and closed the Alpharetta Library and city hall on Friday due to a gas leak. Both facilities opened back up around 5:45 p.m., according to the library’s Twitter account.

The library, at 10 Park Plaza in the north Fulton County city, was being used as an early voting site for the upcoming election. Friday is the last day of early voting.

City officials said the gas leak is from a nearby construction site.
