Gainesville teen charged in death of 9-day-old daughter

Aug 8, 2012A Gainesville teenager was arrested Monday in connection with the death last month of her 9-day-old daughter.
Haley Clark, 17, was charged with one count of murder and booked into the Hall County Jail, according to Hall sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks.
Wilbanks said that on July 18, deputies and EMS units responded to the 5200 block of Hopewell Lane regarding an infant who had stopped breathing.
The baby, Olivia Clark, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet released the cause of death.
