Pallbearers lift the casket as they ready to place it on Engine 53. The funeral for Marietta firefighter Lonnie Lee Nutt was held March 12, 2013, at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta. After the services, attended by firefighters from throughout the region, firefighter Nutt took his final ride on top of Engine 53 in a flag draped coffin in a long procession of fire trucks to his burial at Kennesaw Memorial. A veteran city of Marietta firefighter, Nutt died Thursday after collapsing at the scene of a wreck. "He fell from what appeared to be a massive heart attack, and they immediately started working him as well as trying to help the patient that was already there," Scott Tucker, the city's fire marshal, told WSB radio.
