Fulton County Schools will host forums during the last week of January to gather information on what families value most in educational options for their children. Currently, FCS offers families limited educational choice options through magnet programs, charter schools, open enrollment, and family and employee hardship considerations. Additionally, during the past two years, the elected parents, teachers and community members on the School Governance Councils have been customizing certain aspects of individual school programming to meet students’ needs.

FCS recently launched the Choice Options initiative to expand educational choices as part of the strategic plan.

The information gathered during these forums will be used to help create the building blocks for expanded choice which will be implemented over the coming years.

All forums at 7 p.m.: Jan. 26 at Westlake HS; Jan. 27 at Lake Forest ES; Jan. 28 at Centennial HS; Jan. 29 at Tri-Cities HS; Feb. 2 at Milton Center.
