The Fulton County Sheriff's Office is asking for public input as part of its accreditation process.

Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to meet 464 standards in the areas of policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

The community can offer comments for a maximum of 10 minutes at a public information session at 6 p.m. Jan. 17 in court room 1C of the Fulton County Courthouse, located at 185 Central Ave. SW.

The public can also make comments by phone on Jan. 17 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. by calling 404-612-3798.
