Community leader Johnny Fulmer is Marietta’s Citizen of the Year, the Cobb Chamber of Commerce announced this week. Fulmer, 65, owns a gift store on the Marietta Square.

Fulmer is proud of his work in the business community and starting the city’s successful downtown farmers’ market eight years ago. He is past president of the Marietta Business Association and a member of the Downtown Marietta Development Authority. He also serves on a task force to study height restrictions on the Marietta Square.
