Atlanta officials have scheduled a workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday on the zoning and land use plans for the redevelopment of the Fort McPherson base.

The meeting will be held at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 1558 Venetian Dr. S.W.

The Army is closing the 488-acre facility in 2011 as part of the Defense Department's Base Realignment and Closure. City and community leaders want to redevelop the site.
