Forsyth County elementary schools earned the highest overall accountability score in the state, and its overall high school score was the highest of metro Atlanta countywide districts and large districts in Georgia, in the 2019 College and Career Ready Performance Index of the Georgia Department of Education, district officials announced.

“Our results clearly show that our staff, families and the community are doing what is right for all students,” said district Superintendent Jeff Bearden.

The CCRPI measures schools and school districts on a 100-point scale, based on multiple indicators of performance, officials said. Forsyth schools overall posted a score of 92.7, compared with a state average of 75.9; elementary schools, 95.1 vs. 77.1; middle schools, 89.2 vs. 72.1; and high schools, 92 vs. 77.

The state also released 2019 School Climate Star Ratings. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest, 19 Forsyth schools scored a "4," and 18 schools, a "5," the district said. Information: https://bit.ly/31IenNb
