Ford Motor Co. issued a safety recall Saturday for some Ford F-250 pickup trucks that could roll while in park.
The recall affects about 52,000 2017 Ford F-250 gas-powered 6.2-liter vehicles, the Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker announced. They were built from Oct. 9, 2015, to March 30 of this year at a Kentucky assembly plant.
The problem is with a park rod. Motorists are advised to use the parking brake at all times when shifting the truck into park.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this recall. Dealers will inspect and replace the park rod as necessary at no cost to the customer, Ford announced.
