Score: 47

The restaurant that serves denizens of a metro Atlanta golf club failed its recent health inspection, with officials noting flies in the kitchen and a "mildew-like substance" in drink dispensers.

The eatery at Olde Atlanta Golf Club — located at 5750 Olde Atlanta Parkway in the Forsyth County portion of Suwanee — received a 47/U on its Wednesday afternoon inspection.

According to the inspection report, "numerous flies [were] observed in kitchen" and the "ice machine and tea urn nozzles [were] soiled with mildew-like substance." Expired milk was also spotted, and there was "no measurable sanitizer" in the dishwasher. Dining tables were also not being cleaned properly.

In addition, several foods — including raw beef and shrimp — were not stored properly, the report said. Officials also noted that the restaurant's designated "food safety manager" had "left" two weeks prior to the inspection.

A follow-up inspection was scheduled for Aug. 17.

An email to the club's director of operations was not immediately returned Friday morning.
