Snellville city leaders hashed out priorities for the next two years at an annual retreat this past weekend.

Topping the list were discussions about moving forward with a town center, tackling a $1.1 million budget shortfall and repairing the city's reputation for political infighting.

"People were surprised we had the same ideas and same thoughts as each other, which is what happens when you stop bickering and start listening to each other," Councilwoman Kelly Kautz said Tuesday. "We accomplished a lot in a short period of time."

The two-day retreat was held at Eastside Physicians Plaza in Snellville.
