We are tracking what’s happening in downtown Atlanta as more than 100,000 people are expected to converge each day for Final Four basketball games, fan festivities and free concerts.

11 p.m.: People clear out of Centennial Olympic Park following concert.

10:35 p.m.: Braves top Cubs 4-1 and fireworks follow at Turner Field.

9:50 p.m.: Not a good night for the Hawks, who lost to the Sixers, 101-90.

9 p.m.: The Zac Brown Band takes the stage at Centennial Olympic Park.

8:15 p.m.: Atlanta police said there are no incidents to report at this time.

7:30 pm: The Braves take to the field against the Cubs for the first game of their weekend series. Hawks take on the Philadelphia 76ers.

7:00 p.m.: As rush hour ends, traffic is beginning to let up on the downtown connector, and My Morning Jacket is taking the stage at Centennial Olympic Park.

6:30 p.m.: Fans are stopping Atlanta Police Department officers on horseback for photos between the CNN Center and Georgia World Congress Center.

5:55 p.m.: If you're headed downtown, take a look at our map of street closures.

5:36 p.m.: Channel 2 Action News reports traffic still heavy on the connector southbound.

4:45 p.m.: Saints of Valory hits the stage in Centennial Olympic Park to start off this weekend's concert series.

4:29 p.m.: Fans are steadily streaming into Centennial Olympic Park and most traffic lights in the area are blinking because there are Atlanta police officers at each intersection directing traffic.

4:05 p.m.: WSB News/Talk Radio AM 750 and 95.5 FM is reporting a 27-mile stretch of northbound congestion on I-75 from Butts County to just north of I-675 in Clayton County; possible a combination of spring breakers returning and Final Four fans coming to the metro area

4 p.m.: Channel 2 Action News says fans are beginning to enter Centennial Olympic Park for tonight's concerts but lots of room is still available.

3:40 p.m.: Heavy traffic on the southbound connector from the 5th Street bridge.

3:30 pm: Michigan practice underway at the Georgia Dome.

1:15 p.m.: Hundreds of youngsters, and some folks not-so-young, are among the early arrivals enjoying activities inside Bracket Town, the Fan Fest at the Georgia World Congress Center. Not surprisingly, many of them are shooting hoops.

Noon: Our news partner, Channel 2 Action News describes traffic conditions around the Georgia Dome as "the quiet before the storm."

10:50 a.m.: Tour buses with police escorts can be seen rolling along Peachtree Street and throughout downtown.

9 a.m.: Peachtree Street between 7th and 8th streets was closed to traffic briefly after an abandoned book bag was spotted near the front door of Bulldogs nightclub in Midtown. An all-clear was sounded and the street reopened about 10 minutes later.
