Fayetteville police are looking for two men they believe stole two vehicles from the same Wal-Mart parking lot on consecutive days last week.
The first theft from Wal-Mart in the Fayette Pavilion came just after 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 12, according to Fayetteville police Detective Mike Whitlow.
The suspects backed a dark-colored, possibly green, Ford Explorer into a parking space, and one of the men went inside the Wal-Mart. After returning to the parking lot, that male then stole a 1992 GMC Sierra truck from the lot, and both vehicles left the area.
The following afternoon, just after 1 o'clock, at least two subjects in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle entered the parking lot, and after riding through the lot, stopped behind a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice that was parked in the lot, Whitlow said.
"Two subjects exited the passenger side of the suspect vehicle and approached the Caprice," he said. "One suspect then entered the Caprice while the other suspect returned to their vehicle and both vehicles left the area."
Whitlow asked that anyone with information on the incidents call Detective Todd Chitwood at 770-719-4224.
