An undeveloped parcel of land in Fayetteville will revert back to its original zoning. The 5.89-acre tract on Cobblestone Boulevard had been rezoned from C-3 to RMF-15 in March 2015 to allow for construction of 33 townhomes.

Since then, the property owner has not submitted any plans to the city for the project. The Fayetteville zoning ordinance allows for property to revert to its original zoning if no development plans are begun with 12 months of rezoning. The property was sold in June, and the new owner told Senior Planner Julie Brown that it has no current plans to develop the property.

The City Council approved the zoning reversal 4-0-1 at its Dec. 15 meeting.
