Fayette County is preparing its Student Code of Conduct for the 2019-20 academic year, and wants community input regarding its provisions.

An open-ended questionnaire has been posted on the system’s website at www.fcboe.org, and respondents can note comments pertaining to elementary schools, secondary schools or both. The current codes for each level are posted on the website under the Students tab. At previous Board of Education meetings, parents have raised concerns about dress codes for female students and about bullying behavior, but the codes also cover such issues as conduct, discipline, extracurricular activities, health care, cybersecurity and attendance.

Comments about the code will be accepted through April 8.
