The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the scene of a fatal accident on I-75 in Cherokee County.
A GSP spokesman said the driver of a southbound tractor-trailer is thought to have experienced medical difficulties before crossing over the median and entering northbound lanes of the interstate and crashing. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
The truck driver has not been identified pending notification of kin.
The wreck occurred early Saturday morning near Highway 92. Several lanes of northbound I-75 were closed Saturday morning, but lanes began opening about 8 a.m.
