A man sought in connection with the armed robberies of 20 Burger Kings and other restaurants across metro Atlanta is believed to have struck again – this time, against a Taco Bell in Stockbridge, police said.

The Henry County Police Department put on at alert Tuesday for the suspect, who wore a green mask and gloves when he robbed the Taco Bell in the 1600 block of Hudson Bridge Road about 9:40 a.m. Saturday.

The man got away in a late 1990s model four-door Buick Regal with gray trim on the bottom and a sun roof. The description and surveillance photos of the vehicle are similar to those of the getaway car used in the other robberies.

Anyone with information on the car or its owner is asked to contact Henry County police Det. Bess Baugh at 770-288-8387.

The same man is believed to have robbed Burger Kings, Taco Bells and KFCs in Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton and Douglas counties since April. Burger King is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the bandit.

Gwinnett police previously described him as a black male, about 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a muscular build and tattoos on one and possibly both forearms. He has a short haircut and diamond earrings and is armed with a large black handgun.

In a separate stick-up involving a fast-food restaurant, Cobb County police reported a robbery about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday of a Zaxby’s restaurant in the 5000 block of Floyd Road in Mableton.

An employee who answered a knock on the rear door was confronted by a shotgun-wielding man whose face was covered with a black T-shirt, police said.

The man entered the business, demanded and received an undisclosed about of cash, and fled on foot in a northern direction toward Patterns Drive. Investigators believe the bandit got away in a sport-utility vehicle that was waiting for him on Patterns.

Police described the suspect as a black male wearing a black shirt and black pants and carrying a blue and orange backpack.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Cobb investigators at 770-499-3945. A Cobb police spokesman said there has been no mention of a possible connection between the Zaxby’s and Taco Bell robberies.
