The family of an 8-year-old boy who was killed Sunday in an accident is raising money for his funeral expenses.

Nathan Alan Braddy, 8, of Calhoun, was a second-grade student at Fairmount Elementary School, his family said in a GoFundMe campaign.

Braddy died of injuries sustained when his all-terrain vehicle overturned and crushed him.

"He will be remembered as a bright and loving young man who could light up a room with his mischievous smile," according to an obituary published by Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
