Family and friends are asking for the public’s help in locating a 58-year-old Atlanta man missing since last Sunday.

Fulton County police say are treating Gary Evans’ disappearance as a missing person case.

“Detectives have checked the home, local jails and hospitals,” said Fulton police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester, adding no evidence of foul play has been found.

Evans has a history of seizures and requires medication to control them, police said.

He was reported missing by his younger brother, Rodney Evans, who spoke to him last Sunday evening.

“My brother would never just walk away from us like this,” Rodney Evans said. “He loves us too much and he loves God and his church family.”

Gary Evans was last seen wearing black shorts, a black shirt and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Fulton police at 404-613-6600.
