North Cobb Christian School in Kennesaw on Thursday will honor a graduate killed last year in Afghanistan.
Army Pvt. Jacob Dennis died July 4 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, where he had been airlifted after being wounded in Afghanistan.
Dennis, who was 22 at the time of his death, had played soccer at North Cobb Christian. His mother is on the school's faculty.
At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the school will remember Dennis by dedicating a memorial at the athletic field.
